Northern Lakes Landscpaing Service

About Northern Lakes Landscpaing Service

A century ago Akeley was a sawmill town, and the pines that fed those saws still crowd close around the shore of Eleventh Crow Wing Lake. In deep winter the lake goes white and silent, the Heartland Trail turns into a ribbon for snowmobiles, and drifts creep up against every cabin and garage in reach of the wind. Northern Lakes, a landscaping service, meets that season with snow removal, working driveway by driveway until the asphalt shows black again. There's real pleasure in a clean push on a still, frozen morning, the plow blade scraping and the pines shaking powder down overhead. Once the last pass is made, Akeley is open to its lakes and to the long white roads that lead out of the woods.
