Ada Electric

About Ada Electric

Out on this end of the Red River Valley the wind does the deciding. A northwest blow across open beet ground will close one farm approach in an hour and leave the next one swept bare, and half of a Norman County January is spent reading which is which. Ada Electric runs snow removal through those nights — yard lights on, blade down, one pass and then another until a yard is a yard again. Shelterbelts catch what they can; everything else belongs to the plow, the shovel and a scattering of salt. By the time the sky goes pale over the flats, the gravel is open and somebody gets to leave for work on time.
