Michigan Avenue has been carrying people across this township since it was a plank road, and the lawns facing it have been mown by somebody in every generation since. Heritage Lawn Care takes its turn — weekly cuts, crisp edges at the drive, trimming where the mower deck stops short. Autumn along the old highway drops enough maple and oak leaf to bury a yard twice over, and the cleanup runs until the ground goes hard. Nothing fancy in it, just a lawn kept in good order through a Michigan year. Ypsilanti Charter Township looks better for it.
