A clipper drops out of Canada, crosses the flat farmland west of Rawsonville Road, and by the time it reaches Ypsilanti Charter Township the sky has gone the color of an old nickel. Snow follows, then wind, then the drifting that fills a driveway back in an hour after you thought you were done. Bulls Landscaping plows it, shovels by hand where a truck cannot reach, and salts the slick spots where runoff freezes again overnight. The reward is small and worth having: a cleared drive, a car that backs out without spinning, a morning that starts on time.
