Summer up here is short and bright, and Wolverine spends it green: ferns along the old rail grade that carries the North Central State Trail, cedar shade, grass that grows hard for a few fast months. Northern Vista Lawn and Landscape works that window with mowing, trimming, edging and cleanups, keeping yards and lots in shape from the first warm week to the last. River-lot cabins, homes in the village, and properties tucked back in the pines each get cut to fit their own ground. A finished lawn set against all that northern timber looks deliberate, and it should. When the leaves come down in October, those get cleared too.
