When the melt comes off Proud Lake and the Huron River runs high and brown, Wixom knows the season has turned. Thweny's Landscape Services meets it with spring cleanups, then settles into mowing, trimming and edging lawns all the way to the last warm week of October. At the other end of the year the trucks carry plows: drives cleared, walks opened, salt worked into the low spots where meltwater likes to refreeze. Two trades, one calendar, the same streets travelled in both directions. The proof either way is a property somebody is glad to pull into.
