About First Class Home Services

West Houghton Avenue keeps a row of tall old houses with porches deep enough to sit out a July afternoon, and lawns that show every line you put in them. First Class Home Services tends yards like those around West Branch — mowing on a rhythm, trimming close to the porch skirts and the fence pickets, sweeping the walk before the trailer gate goes up. Spring cleanup pulls the winter's litter off the beds; October brings the leaves down all at once, gold across the sidewalk. The reward is a small one and it never gets old: a homeowner pulling in at five to a place that has obviously been looked after. That is most of the job, and the rest is showing up again next week.
