JMA Turf Management

About JMA Turf Management

Around the middle of October the maples over Wayland's older streets let go nearly all at once, and a lawn that was tidy on Friday is buried by Sunday. JMA Turf Management works that turning season hard — hauling leaves off the turf, taking the grass down for its final cut, leaving the yard flat and open before the ground locks up. The rest of the year the work is quieter and just as particular: mowing, trimming, edging, keeping a lawn in shape week over week from the first warm push in April. There is something plainly good about a raked yard in late autumn, the lines of the beds visible again, the air smelling of cold dirt and cut stems. It is ordinary work, done on time, in a town that notices.
