Warner Brothers Services

About Warner Brothers Services

There is an hour in a Waterford winter — somewhere past three, before a single kitchen light comes on — when the snow banked along Dixie Highway is still unbroken and the township looks like one long white field. That is when Warner Brothers Services is already moving. Snow removal is a night trade in this part of Oakland County: wind crosses Pontiac Lake with nothing to slow it, drifts stack against the garage doors on the west-facing streets, and a driveway has to be opened before the morning commute turns everything to ruts. The work gets measured in cleared pavement, salted walks, and the small relief of a car backing out with no shovel in the trunk. By the time the sun clears the treeline over the Pontiac Lake Recreation Area, the asphalt is dark and wide open and the day can simply begin.
