In November the ridges above Pontiac Lake State Recreation Area go bare and brown, and the township tips over into the other half of its year. Leone Outdoor Services makes that turn with it — last mows and fall cleanups one week, plow trucks fueled and staged the next. Snow arrives here in bands off the west and drives fill fast, so the work becomes plowing, clearing walks, and coming back when the wind puts it all back again. By April the mowers are running along the very same roads. One township, twelve months: that's what keeps the routes quick and the results even.
