Waterford's oaks hang onto their leaves later than anything else in the township, and in the last week of October they let go all at once. Dougs Tree & Lawn Care spends those weeks on lawns buried under them — mowing what's left of the grass, gathering leaves off the turf, clearing drives and walks back to bare pavement. Through the summer the work is the plain weekly cut, edged and trimmed and done on time. What makes it worth doing is the after: a lawn that looks swept, a yard where the shape of the beds is visible again. Every property on the route gets held to that same finish.
