The Red Run cuts a low green seam across the north of Warren, and in late October the wind comes down it carrying half the neighborhood's maple leaves at once. Liberty Lawn and Snow Services LLC meets the city on both sides of that turn — mowing, trimming and leaf cleanup while the ground still gives, then plowing, shoveling and salting once it hardens. There is a particular pleasure in the last haul of leaves, a yard swept back to bare grass an hour before the temperature drops. And a different one in a driveway opened at five in the morning so a car can back out without a thought. Same streets, same houses; the work changes with the ground.
