Spring in this part of Livingston County arrives sideways: ice off the little lakes one week, mud the next, then everything green at once between Linden and Hartland. JBL lawn and landscape starts where the thaw leaves off — cleanups first, beds cut back and mulched, winter grit raked out of the turf, and then the mowing that runs from May until the leaves take over. Trimming and edging come with every visit, because a yard reads by its outlines as much as by its middle. Out on the rolling roads a lawn has to hold its shape against woods and field on three sides. Week after week, that's what the job is for.
