About D.M. Walker Service's

Tyrone Township is glacier country — hills the ice left in a hurry, kettle lakes tucked between them, and driveways that run a long way downhill to the road. D.M. Walker Service's plows that terrain at four in the morning, when the only light is the truck's and the only sound is the blade. Grades get cleared to the surface and salted, turnarounds opened, walks and steps shoveled so nobody starts the day sideways on their own porch. Around Lake Shannon the wind can lay a drift back across a drive within the hour, which is why the second look matters as much as the first. A clean drive at sunrise, steaming a little in the cold — that's a good morning.
