North of Muskegon the ground turns sandy and the oaks and white pines grow close, and Twin Lake sits in the middle of it with water on two sides of the road. DLH lawn care & Snow removal takes on both halves of the year here: mowing, trimming and edging while the grass runs hard through July, then plowing and clearing walks when the lake-effect bands push inland overnight. There is real pleasure in a drive opened before the first headlights move — banks cut square, the path to the door scraped down to pavement. In summer those same yards get their lines laid straight across the light and shade under the oaks. The route covers Twin Lake, Holton, Whitehall and the roads between them.
