The Snow Man

About The Snow Man

Troy wakes early. Long before the office towers along Big Beaver Road light up and traffic thickens on I-75, its suburban streets need driveways open and walks safe. The Snow Man answers that rush, clearing snow for a city of wide drives, curving cul-de-sacs and busy mornings: plowing to bare pavement, shoveling the walk and front steps, and salting where wet Oakland County snow likes to freeze into a hard crust. The name is playful; the result is serious: a drive squared off sharp, the plow ridge cleared from the apron, the front walk ready for boots and briefcases. When the first commuters back out into the gray dawn, it is as if winter never touched the place, and the only snowman left in the yard is the one the kids built.
