Holden Green Turf

About Holden Green Turf

Troy sits on flat, patient ground — glacial plain, once sod and cropland, now lawn running from one section road to the next. Holden Green Turf works that turf: mowing, trimming, edging and the seasonal care that keeps a lawn dense enough to shrug off July. Deep summer is the real test, when a week without rain turns thin grass straw-colored while thick grass barely notices. The pleasure of the job is standing at the curb afterward and seeing one continuous sweep of green with a hard edge at the walk. Nothing dramatic about it — just a yard that looks like the ground beneath it is content.
