Trowbridge Township sits in the bend of Allegan County where the Kalamazoo River runs low between wooded banks and the orchards pick up again on the ridge above it. Lakeside Lawncare mows those yards through the humid middle of summer, when a lawn can put on a week's growth in three days and thunderheads build over the game area most afternoons. Trimming at fence posts and foundations, a cut line held straight at the drive, clippings kept off the walk — the small things that separate mowed from finished. Spring and fall bring the cleanups, beds cleared and leaves carried off before the rain mats them down. Between Otsego and Plainwell there's a great deal of green to keep honest, and it repays the attention.
