Davey's Lawn Service

About Davey's Lawn Service

Out past Otisville the section roads run straight to the horizon, and the yards along them are wide, open things that ask for a steady hand. Davey's Lawn Service keeps those lawns mown and edged through the long green stretch of a Genesee County summer, when the light hangs on until nearly nine. There is a plain satisfaction in the last pass of the day — stripes laid clean, the trimmer quiet, a straight line along the drive. Come winter the work turns to plowing, because the wind out of the north here has nothing to slow it and a driveway can fill in twice before breakfast. Same yards, same care, a different blade.
