October on Miller Road: the maples let go all at once, and every lawn in town is suddenly wearing somebody else's tree. Miller Lawn & Landscape LLC spends those weeks mowing, raking and hauling Swartz Creek back down to green, and then the calendar turns and the same attention goes into plowing drives and salting walks. Winter here arrives sideways off the flat land, filling the ends of driveways faster than a shovel can argue. They clear it, widen it, and come back when the road plow packs it in again. What they are after in either half of the year is that one clean edge — the yard squared up, the drive opened wall to wall.
