Surrey Township is sand and oak and jack pine, ground that grows a lawn only if somebody keeps after it. Heritage Outdoor Services keeps after it — mowing through the long green weeks around Farwell, trimming close to roots and fence lines, edging where the gravel drive wants to creep into the grass.
