About Cottage Care Co.

Klinger Lake wakes under a skin of mist, and by seven the dew is still heavy enough to soak a bootlace. Cottage Care Co. mows the lawns that tilt down toward that water — the narrow lots, the shaded strip between drive and dock path, the corners a big deck makes awkward. Grass is taken to an even height, trimmed close along steps, posts and stone, then swept off the walks before anyone comes out with a cup of coffee. Summer around Sturgis is short and these yards are looked at constantly: from the porch, from the water, from the road. Leaving one tidy is the whole point, and it shows from every one of those angles.
