About Marten's Farm & Lawn LLC

Clinton County runs in mile squares: corn, soybeans, sugar beets, an elevator on the horizon and a grain truck raising dust down a side road. Saint Johns grew up in the middle of all that as the Mint City, and the farm rhythm still sets the pace for everything, including the grass. Marten's Farm & Lawn LLC mows, trims and edges on that schedule, keeping farmhouse yards, in-town lots and long lane approaches looking kept from May through October. Cleanups clear the winter wreckage in spring and take the leaves in fall, before the first snow arrives to press them down. A mowed yard against a hundred acres of standing corn is a small, satisfying kind of order.
