June in St. Charles means the rail trail full of walkers, gardens going in along the side streets, and every lawn in the township putting on an inch a week. Amanda's Lawn Service keeps pace with it — regular mowing, trimming around mailboxes and fence lines, and the close work near beds and foundations that makes everything else look deliberate. Valley soil out here is deep and level, so grass comes in thick and even when somebody stays on top of it. Cleanups open the season in spring and close it in the fall, when the leaves let go all at once. There's real pride in a yard that looks cared for every week, not just the week after.
