A west wind climbs the dunes and drops into Spring Lake most summer afternoons, carrying lake air across every yard in the village. Vinnie's Lawncare spends those afternoons mowing, trimming close around the trees, and cutting the border where grass meets sidewalk until the line is sharp enough to read from the road. Sandy soil drinks fast here, so the cut is kept high enough to shade its own roots through August. Spring brings the cleanup, autumn brings the leaves and the last low pass before frost. It's a plain craft with a visible result: a yard that looks like somebody tends it.
