West of Spring Arbor the ground rolls in long glacial swells, and every thaw sends water sliding down toward Sandstone Creek. Peak Landscape LLC opens its season out there in April, raking matted grass loose, cutting fresh bed edges and getting the first cut on before the ground firms up. Through summer it is mowing, trimming, and keeping the mulch lines sharp where they meet the green. The oaks let go slowly here, a week-long drift of leaves, and the crew stays after them until the turf shows through again.
