Umphrey’s Lawn Professionals

About Umphrey’s Lawn Professionals

Noon in July on the straight section roads of Seneca Township: heat shimmer over the blacktop, a thunderhead stacking up in the west, and hardly any shade to work in. Umphrey's Lawn Professionals is out in it regardless, mowing, trimming and edging on a rotation that does not much care how hot the afternoon gets. Grass in southern Lenawee County grows in bursts, so the schedule matters as much as the cut. The satisfaction is in the after: an even lawn, a clean line where turf meets drive, the clippings gone off the concrete. Then the storm crosses, the county cools, and next week it all begins again.
