Phoenix Blades Lawn and Plow

About Phoenix Blades Lawn and Plow

Spring is late and sudden here — the ice goes out of the bay, the frost comes out of the sand, and inside a week the yards in Sanborn need cutting after seven months of not. Phoenix Blades Lawn and Plow makes that first pass of the year, always the roughest and the most satisfying: matted grass lifted, winter grit swept off the walks, the lawn handed back its shape. From there it is steady mowing and trimming on into autumn, with the border where drive meets turf kept sharp. Yards along this stretch of Huron are half sand and half shade, and they answer to attention rather than force. By the second cut, the whole place looks like it decided to wake up.
