Nichols Lawn Green

About Nichols Lawn Green

There is black bottomland soil under a good deal of Saginaw, river-laid and generous, and by September a lawn on it can put on a week of growth in three days. Nichols Lawn Green keeps pace with that — mowing on a rhythm so no single cut ever takes off more than it should, trimming tight along the foundation and the garden beds, holding a true line where turf meets driveway. The light turns long and gold this time of year, low across the yards, and every stripe on a fresh-cut lawn shows in it. Cleanups follow once the trees let go. Simple work, and the result is a yard somebody is glad to pull into.
