About Aspen Lawn & Landscape

Fog sits on the Cedar River most June mornings in Sage Township and burns off in ribbons, leaving the grass heavy with wet and every lawn an hour behind schedule. Aspen Lawn & Landscape starts once that dries and works through the middle of the day, mowing, trimming and edging the yards along the river road and the ones tucked back behind the pines. Gladwin County soil runs sandy in places and rich in others, so no two properties on the same road grow at the same rate, and the schedule bends to suit. The best part of the day is the walk-back at the end, seeing straight lines where an hour ago there was shag. From here toward Gladwin and Beaverton, that is the work, one careful yard after another.
