Up-Care

About Up-Care

The hardest weeks around Rudyard are the in-between ones, when April sun works on a snowbank all afternoon and the night takes it right back, and the ground cannot decide what it wants to be. Up-Care works both sides of that line, clearing and plowing while winter still has its grip and then coming back with mowers and rakes once the frost finally lets go. Summer service runs to regular cutting, trimming and cleanups; winter runs to open drives, cleared walks and lots pushed back for the next storm. What ties the two together is showing up on the schedule the weather sets rather than the one that would be convenient. Across the flat farm country toward Dafter and Pickford, that reliability is most of the craft.
