About S & B Seasonal Services

Winter finds St. Clair Shores from the water first — a raw wind that comes in off Lake St. Clair and works its way up every driveway between Nine Mile and Thirteen. S & B Seasonal Services keeps the dark hours, when the mile roads are still one long line of orange streetlight and nothing has been down the block yet. Plowing, shoveling, salting: the work is simple to name and stubborn to do, and it ends the same way every time — pavement you can see, a walk you can cross in shoes. There is something worth being proud of in finishing before the first car backs out onto Harper. By the time the lake turns silver at sunrise, the neighborhood is already moving.
