About Wilson Outdoor Services

Late September in Rollin Township smells like cut grass and dry corn at the same time, and the gravel roads between the lakes go gold about an hour before supper. That is the hour Wilson Outdoor Services likes best, mowing the last long light out of a yard while the dust settles behind the trailer. The work runs all season though, from the first flush of May growth to the tired, slow-growing weeks of October, with trimming around posts and stone and the beds kept clear of what creeps in. A yard should look finished, not merely shortened, and that difference shows up in the edges. Out here where a property can back onto woods, water or a hayfield, the aim is simply a lawn that meets its wild neighbors on good terms.
