Rives Junction is a crossroads, a rail line and a scatter of houses, and every April the whole place goes from brown to green in about ten days. Murphy Landworks LLC opens the year there with the first cut and the spring clearing — winter debris off the turf, edges reopened along walks and drives, then mowing that runs all the way to November. Village lots and long country drives get the same treatment: even height, clean trim lines, pavement blown off before the trailer gate closes. Watching a yard go from flattened to standing in one visit never really gets old. Rives Junction, Rives, Leslie and the roads back down into Jackson.
