Half the roads in Ray Township are still gravel, and on a dry August afternoon you can track a truck across the township by the dust hanging over the corn. PWR Lawnscape LLC pulls up those roads all week, mowing on rotation, string-trimming along the rail fence and around the base of every windbreak maple, cutting the edge back where gravel and turf keep trying to trade places. Then everything hard gets blown off — the drive, the walk, the pad by the back door — because that last two minutes is what people actually see. Late in the year the maples that make the shade also make the work, and the leaves get gathered and hauled. Same roads, same lawns, every week, until the ground freezes.
