About Shephard Lawn Care LLC

A few minutes north of Rapid City the water in the Chain of Lakes turns that improbable Caribbean blue, and the yards that look out on it are held to a standard the view sets for them. Shephard Lawn Care LLC works those lots and the ones back in the hardwoods behind them, mowing, edging and running the cleanups that open a property in May and close it down in October. Northern Michigan gives a short, generous season, and the aim is to have every lawn at its peak while the docks are in and the porches are full. The detail people notice is the edge — a crisp cut where grass meets the gravel drive or the stone wall, so the whole yard looks intentional. Finishing a lakeside lot on a still July evening, with the mower quiet and the water going pink, is a good way to end a day's work.
