On a Saturday morning the ballfields at Lakeview Park are already striped and somebody's kid is chasing a ball into the outfield, and half of Portage is out doing something in the yard. Maxwells mowing etc takes the yard part off the list: mowing, trimming the corners the deck cannot reach, edging the walk, and clearing the clippings so the weekend can go back to being a weekend. The cut is kept even and the lines kept straight, which sounds like a small thing until you see two houses side by side.
