About Steve’s Lawn And Home Services

Evening in June, and the long light comes sideways down the older streets of Port Huron until the mown stripes on a front lawn show up like corduroy. Steve's Lawn And Home Services works those blocks and the newer ones out toward Marysville, cutting on a schedule so a yard never gets ahead of itself. Trimming around porch steps, the mailbox post, the chain-link at the alley; edging the sidewalk until the concrete line reappears sharp as a chalk mark. Riders coming off the Bridge to Bay Trail pass yards still breathing out the smell of cut grass. Spring and fall the cleanups bookend everything — winter debris gone in April, leaves gone in November. Small work, carried all the way into the corners.
