Executive Property Maintenance

About Executive Property Maintenance

Four in the morning along Ann Arbor Road, and the office lots still lie under one unbroken white sheet. Executive Property Maintenance is already out in it — plowing, stacking, opening the walkways to every door, salting the ice that hides in a building's shadow all day long. Commercial snow work is really a question of order: which lot opens first, which entrance the early shift uses, where the piles go so they do not melt back across the drive at noon. By the time headlights start turning in off the road the pavement is dark and dry and nobody has to give it a thought. Snow removal is the whole of it, across Plymouth and the corridors that run out toward Livonia and Novi.
