About Porter Outdoor Services

On a clear January night after a storm has moved off, Owosso goes still and very cold, and the stars come out hard over the fields. That is the hour Porter Outdoor Services is usually working — blade down on a driveway, the walk shoveled and treated, the pile pushed back far enough to last the month. In the warm half of the year the same properties get the other half of the job: mowing on a weekly turn, trimming, edging, and cleanups that take a yard from ragged to squared away. Outdoor work in mid-Michigan means accepting whatever the sky is doing and getting on with it regardless. What lasts is the look of a place kept — the open drive, the even lawn, the borders cut true.
