About JJ's Excavating and Tree Services

Spring comes to Owosso as mud and high water, the Shiawassee running brown past the bank willows with the fields going soft on both sides. JJ's Excavating and Tree Services leans into those shoulder seasons — removals of trees that came through winter cracked or leaning, trimming and pruning while the crowns are bare and easy to read. When a line of storms crosses Shiawassee County in July, the day turns to storm damage cleanup: a big elm down across a garage roof, a hedgerow to open back up, brush hauled off before it smothers the grass. What lasts is the quiet afterward, a driveway you can use and a yard back in order. Owosso, Corunna, Ovid, Laingsburg and the farm roads between.
