April is stubborn in Osceola Township. The frost lets go a little at a time, the two-tracks soften, and then one warm week arrives and every lawn in the township wants cutting at once. Redline Lawn & Landscape opens the season with that first mow — winter's grit and twig litter raked off, edges reset along the walks, beds cleaned back to bare mulch. Summer this far up is short and green and generous, and it deserves to be met with a straight line and a clean finish. Come fall the maples drop in a hurry, and the leaves get cleared before the ground locks up again. Osceola Township and the roads fanning out from it are where the season gets spent.
