Orleans Mowing

About Orleans Mowing

Evening is the good hour out here. The sun drops behind an oak line at the far end of the section, the gravel goes gold, and the last pass of the day gets laid down while the air is finally cooling. Orleans Mowing keeps it simple: grass cut even, trimmed tight to the posts and the mailbox, clippings blown off the drive before the trailer gate closes. Country lots run big in this part of Ionia County, and watching a half acre come back into order in one afternoon never really gets old. Spring and fall the work turns to cleanups — winter's twigs off, leaves out of the fence corners — and then it is mowing again. The work stays close to home: Orleans Township and the farms all around it.
