Mike's Lawn Care

About Mike's Lawn Care

Oliver Township is laid out in mile squares, and in June every one of them is a different green — hay, corn, and the yards tucked in between. Mike's Lawn Care runs those gravel roads with a mower and a trimmer, taking farmhouse lawns, ditch banks and township yards down to a clean even nap. Out here a lawn has no fence to hide behind; it meets the field, and the line between them ought to look deliberate. Spring cleanup clears what winter pulled down, and autumn brings the leaves all at once when the wind finally turns. The pleasure is simple — stand at the road at dusk and see the whole yard sitting square and tidy against the crop line.
