Olive Township is blueberry country — sand, small farms, and Lake Michigan close enough to the west that the afternoon breeze finds you by three o'clock. That sandy ground drains fast and burns fast, so lawns here hold up better cut high and cut regularly than scalped once a month. We mow on a set week, trim around beds, posts and the base of the trees, and edge the walks so the lines stay honest. Spring opens with a cleanup: winter debris raked out and the turf combed open so it can green up evenly across the whole lot.
