Begonia Brothers Services

About Begonia Brothers Services

The brick sidewalks downtown take snow differently than asphalt does: it packs, then glazes, then waits for the first person carrying coffee at seven. Begonia Brothers Services is out on those walks long before that, shovels first and salt behind, working storefront to storefront while the clock at the center of town keeps time for nobody in particular. Plowing, clearing walks and treating ice are the whole of the job, and the measure of it is an unbroken path from a parked car to a door. Northville is small enough that people notice who cleared what. The route runs through downtown and out across the surrounding towns.
