Follow Keewahdin Road east from North Street and the farm fields give way to Lake Huron, close enough that the weather always arrives with an opinion. Keewahdin Home and Lawn works both halves of that year — mowing, trimming and yard cleanups while the corn is high, then plowing, shoveling and salting once the lake starts throwing snow inland. St. Clair County ground lies flat and generous to grass, and a lawn kept even across a wide open lot has a calm to it you can read from the road. In February the pride is simpler: a driveway cut open to the pavement before the coffee cools. Homes around North Street, Clyde Township and the Port Huron edge get the same attention in either season.
