Niles Snow Removal

About Niles Snow Removal

Winter roads drop and climb in the dark, and the driveways off them are rarely as level as they look in July. A heavy snow can lay down several inches before the coffee is made, and the steep driveways are always the first to go under. Niles Snow Removal plows them open — driveways, lanes, small lots — and clears the walks by hand where a blade can't reach, salting and sanding the grades that glaze over by evening. There is a particular satisfaction in a lane cut clean to the gravel at five in the morning, banks squared off, the mailbox still standing. Storm by storm or all winter long, the work comes down to one thing: getting people out in the morning and back home again.
