CLEEN GREENZ

About CLEEN GREENZ

First thing in the morning the low ground near Brandywine Creek is silver with dew and the grass lies over heavy until the sun climbs high enough to lift it. CLEEN GREENZ waits that out, then goes to work: mowing, trimming around posts and fence lines, edging the walks, clearing a yard of whatever has blown into it. Grass here comes on strong in May, hardens through midsummer and greens again with the cool September nights, and the cut follows that arc instead of fighting it. The finish is the point — a lawn that reads clean from the street, the concrete swept, the borders drawn tight. Small city lots, corner lots, wide township acreage: all of it gets the same care.
