About American Tree Care

The St. Joseph River makes a slow green curve through Niles, and the brick blocks downtown stand under sycamores that have watched the whole thing happen. American Tree Care keeps that canopy honest — removals when a silver maple has hollowed out over a garage, trimming and pruning that holds limbs back off the wires and the porch roofs. Berrien County storms come in fast across the lake plain in late spring, and then the work is storm damage cleanup: cutting a way back into a driveway, chipping what came down, sweeping the walk. A street looks different after a good pruning day, with more light on the sidewalk and more room for the houses to show. They serve Niles and the river towns toward Buchanan and Berrien Springs.
